#Blog 3  Day shifting moods On the morning of October 18th, 2024, I woke up to a foggy scene outside my window. It was so cold that I put on an extra jacket before walking from my accommodation to the studio. So, after starting the day with a foggy and cold morning, it had cleared up to sunny weather by the time I returned from university. It sounds like a day with shifting moods, from misty and chilly to bright and warm!  In Vibrant Matter , Jane Bennett explores the idea that all objects, even non-living things, have a kind of vitality or "thing-power." We were to draw a line on a black chart that extended from the top to the bottom. Although the task seemed easy, we did it; however, we managed to complete it. Everyone expressed their uniqueness by adding a small hint or detail to their lines, making each one distinctive. Chalk for a metaphor for Care and Time Just like chalk is delicate and can easily break or wear away, both time and care can be fragile. Time slips away quickly, and moments can be lost if not cherished.  Care can also be fragile; it requires attention and nurturing to grow, just like a chalk drawing that can fade with time or be erased. I dr...
